About Danielle

Dr. Perkins Manning is an advanced practice registered nurse, educator, and researcher with over 20 years of experience. She has practiced general medical-surgical nursing and behavioral health nursing with patients across the lifespan in hospitals, clinics, community, and home settings.

However, her passion for mental health has always burned brightest, leading her to earn her Ph.D. in nursing in 2013. Her research focused on investigating depression in formerly incarcerated young Black men. She then completed her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner education at the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville in July 2022 and became board-certified in August 2022.

Danielle believes that all individuals have dignity, no matter their life circumstances, and are capable of healing and restoration to their highest functioning.

In her spare time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family most. In addition, she loves to read, listen to music, and spend time outdoors working in the yard. A lifelong learner, Danielle continues to perfect her craft with continuing education and conference attendance. She also enjoys learning for the sake of learning about topics outside of healthcare and nursing.
